Brittany - Leveling up within your organization.

Brittany had been with her company for 4 years and was ready for a new level of responsibility. There was an opening for regional manager position that would allow her to support her company in expanding into new territories.

She had to negotiate a salary and terms that would allow her to comfortable execute this role with the new demands it would place on her work/life balance.

Additionally, once in the role she would have to recruit and manage freelancers on the ground in her new markets that would support her with marketing and events.

HOW SHE GOT UNSTUCK

Brittany and I first assessed what a comfortable salary for her to take on this position without any regrets. Once we were clear on the terms and what was important to her, she was empowered to have conversations with her boss and CEO. Once in the new role, Brittany and I focused on leveraging her new level of influence within the company to accomplish her career objectives and also worked on time management tasks that would help her better delegate work to her boots on the ground in the new territories.

"I have experienced Kevin's leadership in numerous capacities, personal and professional, and he has been fantastic at identifying challenges and presenting life changing solutions."

- Dom B.

Ashley - Becoming a Leader

Ashley was recruited back to her company where she had formerly focused on her local market to now overseeing content development across the country. This required her to quickly develop leadership skills in working with remote teams. Additionally, in the midst of learning this new position, her company acquired a competitor which doubled the amount of staff reporting to her. She was tasked with downsizing her operation while increasing content output and getting her entire team onboarded to a new production process.

HOW SHE GOT UNSTUCK

Ashley and I got clear on her responsibilities as a leader and her goals for what a successful transition would look like. Then, we created a vision that would align her teams and help her eliminate distractions that detoured her from the vision. Each week, we worked together to keep the focus on the end game and on what really mattered to her reaching her objective.

Vanessa - I quit, now what?

Vanessa came to me after she had already given notice to her job. She was in an Executive Assistant role but desperately wanted to get into a career in engineering which she had studied in college.

HOW SHE GOT UNSTUCK

With time of her current paycheck expiring, Vanessa and I jumped right into things. First, we did some self-exploration to get clear on what was important to her in a new job. We also discussed what patterns had allowed her to take on roles that she felt were beneath her. Then, we devised an action plan to get back working and with a shortened timeline, we started with her personal network. Vanessa ended up landing a job through a personal contact at a consulting firm within 90 days.

"Kevin has an incredible way of allowing you to get to the root of the problem without directly telling you what it is. He will encourage you to be someone that not only dreams, but does."

- Claire B.

Vanessa(continued) - Iā€™m in the new job, now what?

Once Vanessa got in the job, she realized the transition was a little more than she expected. This was her dream job but because this was her first time doing, it brought in some self-doubt. She called me again to support her through onboarding.

HOW SHE GOT UNSTUCK

Now that Vanessa was in the job, it was time to put our performance goals to the side and focus on learning goals. We identified what was important for her to learn in the first 90 days as dictated by her company and supervisors, not by her desire to be the best. Once we got clear on those objectives, we focused on side issues that this new job had affected such as her work commute and time with her husband. There was some road bumps as Vanessa just kept being hard on herself but 4 months in, Vanessa was asked to on a new role within the company. This gave her the confidence that she was on the right path and confirmed what we had been working on which was how to stop being so hard on herself.
